In high school, I had an old Toyota, and a lot of friends had either similar Toyota or K5 blazers. Each rig could do and go places differently with different functions, however, the one common denominator is that both trucks often get suck in sand or loose sand.  I have read many stories of people going down a trial no problem, then turning around - and getting stuck in a sandpit while trying to get back on the main road. Sand sucks in this state - so one of the first upgrades I did was an MTS Multi-Select and Crawl Control.

The TRD Pro has this option built-in automatically. Many of the overseas versions of the Lexus it is built-in  (Prado 150)  - but not the American models and it is a vital tool to get out of the sand that traps so many trucks. (some of the 2020 models have it - I think)

Here is an example of why I love Crawl Control

and this video is more sale-related (i think) but still, it shows the power of crawl control because the computer can switch on and off each wheel

Now, people, many think - I will stay away from the sand and stuff like that, but often you can't. At a recent SNORR (Southern Nevada Off Road Recovery)  we saw an H1 Hummer get stuck and had to be pulled out, so tire size - vehicle size - and other factors don't mean you will not get trapped in sand.

From the SNORR Class

You can clearly see - that the H1 is really stuck - pictures don't do it justice because on the other side of the truck the door was hitting sand to open it. In my mind, if I can stay away from SAND, air down when possible, then also have MTS / Crawl control - I should be fine 99% of the time.

So here is the good part - how do YOU get the MTS / Crawl control installed?

A LOT of great information -> https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/460-add-crawl-control-cc-and-multi-terrain-select-mts-to-2010-2019-models-all-trims.1040976/

I ordered ->

Discount: -$21.73
Total: $527.66

for the discount (CODE: GXORFIFTYOFF for 50% off “Shipping) - I don't get any of the money or referral income - it is someone else code

I also bought a cheap pair of tools off amazon - you can also get them at Habor Freight. These plastic trim tools have been a lifesaver - super nice and under 10 dollars.

Once you get the parts this is one of the best videos on how to install the computer. You will have to do a zero-point calibration also - but that is not hard.

I am hoping I never have to use Crawl control - because it sounds bad when you turn it on and use it - but it is a life saver because it is trying to figure out what tires are stuck and it applies the brakes automatically.

I use MTS all the time when I am on dirty roads.
